It should come as no surprise that a man who was so intwined with adidas throughout his illustrious career has waded in to get a feel for the Three Stripes next generation project. Zinedine Zidane has this week become the latest addition to a growing list of players to test drive the unreleased blackout adidas silo.

The Real Madrid manager knows a thing or two about adidas football boots, having worn the Predator series for the majority of his trophy-laden career, and he's continuing to play an active role in the development of future adidas footwear projects by training in the upcoming 2018 project.

We've already seen the blackout editions on the feet of Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Mats Hummels and Ivan Rakitic, which speaks volumes for the type of player adidas are focusing on with this control centred silo. The currently unreleased silo will spearhead the Three Stripes into the 2018 World Cup, and the re-issue of the Predator Precision, the all-new Nemeziz, and new-generations of the ACE & X have built a huge wave of hype for adidas to ride all the way to Russia next summer.

The future silhouette features prominent grooves on the instep and forefoot to create a boot that takes cues from the ACE 17+, with a laceless, knitted and modified collar design. The identity of the silo will be officially unveiled by the Three Stripes in due course, both in laceless editions and the laced version worn by Zidane here.
