We’ve seen it doing the rounds in its blacked-out prototype guise, but Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has shown off what appears to be the launch colourway of the next generation adidas Predator in training, suggesting that this one is set to drop any day now.

Fresh off of firing Manchester United to the top of the Premier League table, Paul Pogba took to training in a coloured version of the next-gen adidas Predator. This boot has been seen in its prototype blacked out look on the feet of numerous pros over the last few months, including Pogba, as adidas ironed out the creases ahead of its launch. And it now looks like that will be any day now, with the Frenchman being one of several professionals to give the boot a run out in what looks like a blue, black and volt colour combo.

The prototype already told us that we were in for an even more aggressive aesthetic than the Predator Mutator, but that aesthetic is even more visible in colour. The most notable modification comes from the Demonskin spikes and their placement, which now sees them travelling further up the foot towards the ankle and across the Primeknit tongue area. The whole flow of the spike layout is far more animalistic, and it suggests that, while it’s an obvious continuation from where the Mutator left of, this is an entirely new beast.

This appearance comes alongside corresponding new colourways appearing for Nemeziz on the feet of Roberto Firmino and the X Ghosted on Gabriel Martinelli, suggesting that a pack drop is due anytime now. Still no sign of the COPA yet, which has also been spotted in its prototype next-generation look, so we'll have to wait and see if it comes in time for this new pack drop.

Expect the next generation Predator to drop along with a supporting pack any day now.
