Liverpool youngster Jordan Ibe becomes the first player to be snapped wearing the launch colourway of the second generation Nike Hypervenom after months of black out editions being spotted across Nike's pool of attackers.

Scheduled to drop later this week the Hypervenom II will land almost exactly two years after the first generation boot was launched in Rio de Janeiro by Neymar. Bringing the silo in line with Nike's recent Flyknit revolution, the Hypervenom features a Dynamic Fit Collar and Flywire cables as seen on the Mercurial Superfly IV.

Providing a first on-pitch look at the new-generation boot, Ibe was laced up in the launch colourway at Liverpool's Melwood training ground before reverting back to the first-gen boot as the Reds lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace at Anfield. Set to arrive as part of a wider colour-update across Nike's respective silos, the Hypervenom II kicks off with a fittingly edgy Wolf Grey/Total Orange/Black combo on the redesigned graphic upper.

Just in time for Neymar to wear in the Champions League final, those boys and girls at Nike don't miss a trick do they? Tech wise, you won't be waiting long for a full low down on what the Hypervenom II will offer, but the obvious additions are the newly-engineered silhouette, Dynamic Fit Collar and Flywire cables. That'll do you for now.

Stay tuned for a closer look at the Nike Hypervenom II in the coming days. First thoughts?
