A sunny autumn afternoon greeted us at Boreham Wood Football Club on Sunday as we dropped in to make Arsenal Women v Manchester City Women the latest stop in our 'Framed' series. A whole host of international talent on show in a heavyweight fixture in the Women's Super League and an early top of the table clash.

Arsenal were looking to inflict a first league defeat of the season on their opponents which would see them leapfrog the City girls into second place, behind leaders Chelsea. With Manchester City arriving in Hertfordshire without conceding a league goal in their first four games of the season it was set always set to be a tight affair, but when you've got Vivianne Miedema up top you're always confident of breaking down even the most solid defences.

Miedema became the Netherlands all time leading goalscorer before she hit the tender age of 23 in the summer and she proved to be the hero once more as she notched just before half time with a goal that would be the only one of the game as Arsenal got the job done by the tightest margins and most predictable way of beating City. The striker finished neatly after latching on to Kim Little's through ball to give Arsenal, who have now won 15 of their past 16 homes games, the all important three points.
