Nike are kicking off the "40 Years of Nike Football" celebrations with a collection of custom jerseys that call out the growing crossover between football and street culture. The Swoosh have linked up with Slam Jam for a collaborative special edition that's set to drop later this week.

Nike are set for more action in the coming days as they celebrate their football jersey culture at Milan Design Week. We've already seen Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi tease another custom jersey, and the Swoosh are expected to have a few more surprises up their sleeves.

The modern football shirt has a strong lifestyle influence this season and Nike are taking that a step further by teaming up with lifestyle influencers such as Slam Jam for collaborative editions that blur the lines between performance and street culture.

The Slam Jam x Nike "Brothers of the World" shirt features gradient horizontal stripes on the front with Swoosh branding and a sleek football-inspired shield. On the back of the shirts is the “SLAM JAM” branding, together with a unique number 14. The jersey is set to drop on April 19 on Nike's Online Jersey Shop.
