Last week saw the release of Nike x Kim Jones “Football Reimagined” collection. Bringing two world's together, from top down here's a closer look at every apparel piece in the line.

Kim Jones has made his name as a trailblazer when it comes to combining culture and creativity. He's a designer with a rock and roll edge. The Nike x Kim Jones “Football Reimagined” collection takes influence from the UK punk scene in the 70s. “That whole punk era was all about proportions that gave power to the wearer. I was inspired by the idea of DIY of the time — cutting up and putting things back together — to create something new,” says Jones.

In offering his own interpretation on football performance apparel, the dynamic collection combines shorts, jerseys and track jackets in a predominantly black color palette with electric pops of neon and white. There's subtle detailing across the collection, notably the metallic finish on the Swoosh and the number 11. The rough edges of the material used is a tactile reference to the aforementioned punk influence.

The Nike x Kim Jones “Football Reimagined” collection will launch on the 7th June. Meanwhile the “Football, Mon Amour” collection from Off-White™ and Virgil Abloh will launch on the 14th June - the same day the 2018 World Cup kicks off.
