Meyba Drop A Football-Infused Clothing Collection With The Beatles

What do you get when you cross Barcelona's iconic football brand with the biggest band of all time? Well, that’ll be the new MEYBA x The Beatles collection then, which sees a classic track jacket lining up alongside two fully bespoke designed original football shirts and four unique tees.

Tapping into the recent trend that’s seen iconic bands used as the inspiration for football-centric collections as brands pay homage to their lasting legacies, MEYBA have only gone and arguably trumped the lot, partnering with the world’s greatest band. That’s right, The Beatles and football are combined for a collection that draws inspiration from the epic back catalogue of music, film and images from the legendary band from Liverpool. This initial collection's main focus is a monochrome deep dive into the Abbey Road album artwork that was produced and released in 1969. The famous zebra crossing and classic black and white The Beatles 'Long T' logos are used as inspiration in number of methods and formats across the collection.

First up, the limited edition ‘AOP’ jersey takes inspiration from the zebra crossing on the iconic Abbey road album cover. The print is a mash up of this iconic image and runs throughout the shirt, while the design also features many of The Beatles logo’s and badges in a number placements throughout.

That shirt is joined by the Sash Jersey, which is again limited edition. It sees a black base with a classic white sash design. The zebra crossing from the iconic Abbey road album cover is highlighted on the back of the jersey, and the famous “T” Logo is featured throughout in a gradient repeat pattern. Both shirts feature the number four on the back, a nod to the ‘Fab 4’ that are The Beatles.

The shirts are then joined by a classically styled track jacket silhouette, which is adorned with the classic The Beatles ’T logo’ and number four on the front, with the back neck again featuring that zebra crossing image. But the standout feature of this jacket comes from the inside, where there’s an amazing lining made from images of The Beatles 60’s gig tickets.
