The original Copa inspired skate shoes get a more literal translation.

The Copa Mundial has witnessed a modern revival in recent months. The all-time adidas classic that many considered untouchable has been hit with a new line of colourways to mark the 2014 World Cup. With the Copa firmly in the spotlight, adidas are now bringing their most iconic silhouette to world of skateboarding.

Check out the adidas Dennis Busenitz "Copa Mundial", a football-inspired skate shoe that was originally based on the famous adidas Samba. The shoe breaks tradition from its usual suede material in favour of the Mundial's black leather upper complete with white accents and a white rubber outsole.

A skate shoe based on a football boot - who knew it would be such a good recipe. The slick design offers a skate-ready Copa Mundial. Don't skate? Not many footballers do. But if you've ever needed an excuse to cop a pair of skate shoes, here it is. Anyway, how many of you even know who Dennis Busenitz is?
