Riccardo Tisci throws his influence at the Nike Air Max 97, shaped by late 90s detailing and a mid-top transformation orchestrated by the former Givenchy Creative Director.

The Air Max 97 silhouette was designed by Christian Tresser and Tisci takes the original vision of the shoe and equips it with a predominantly black colourway. Leather and suede combine for a luxurious high-end feel and gold accents at the tongue, forefoot and aglets represent an added sense of style. It's an Air Max style that borrows shapes from the 1998 Mercurial football boot and that's never a bad thing in our book.

A raised padded collar turns the silhouette into a mid offering and the Air midsole is blasted with a crisp white sole for a classy finish. Set to drop in limited numbers as an exclusive, premium design, the Nike Air Max Mid R.T. is set to be released on March 17 in Rome, followed by a larger full-scale global launch from March 24 up to Air Max Day on March 26.
