British designer Craig Green gave a low key reveal to a new adidas collaboration during Paris Fashion Week as his interpretation of the Copa Mundial Team trainers was spotted on the runway. The iconic footballing silhouette took on a number of dual-branded colourways as football once again influenced Fashion Week trends.

It's not the first time football has touched a major fashion event before, not even this year, as fellow British designer Grace Wales Bonner’s London Fashion Week show offered a sneak peek at the label's upcoming FW20 collaboration with adidas, which featured another significant football-inspired theme, once again on another classic silhouette – the Samba – a cherished cousin of sorts to the Copa Mundial collection.

Craig Green has collaborated with adidas in the past, and his latest project features re-worked versions of the famed Copa Mundial Team shoe, a sneaker and boot series that is synonymous with on and off pitch football scenes from the grass to the terraces. The model features a heavy-stitched upper with injections of colourful patterns and the label's branding on the tongue patch and stripes for a unique but instantly recognisable aesthetic.
