Slovenian architecture firm OFIS Arhitekti have taken football stadium design to the next level by unveiling plans for a futuristic arena in Borisov, Belarus.

It's a world away from the beautiful old school terraces, turnstiles and charismatic stands of decades past but it's impressive for different reasons. Football Stadia has progressed immensely in recent years with more clubs moving out of town to bowl-esque grounds that offer better views and an all round more comfortable experience but can lack character, that's a different article entirely though. The proposed stadium in Borisov is surrounded by natural forest growth and boasts seven floors and 13,000 seats. Whereas some 21st century stadiums compromise on atmosphere the arena aims to deliver world-class indoor acoustic. Snazzy, eh?
