Ahead of the BBC1 screening tonight David Beckham and UNICEF have released stills from the 'For the love of the game' series, which saw the ex-England captain play seven football matches, in seven different continents, in ten days.

From African and Asian refugee camps to Djibouti, Papua New Guinea, Nepal and Buenos Aires, Beckham visited some of the most secluded corners of the planet to raise money by speaking the universal language - football. 'For the Love of the Game', which will screen on BBC1 tonight at 9pm captures every moment of Beckham's incredible journey that hopped across the globe before ending in front of 75,000 people at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Some description

A global icon, Beckham attracted crowds at every stop on his tour and played football on all sorts of improvised pitches against opposition from all walks of life. The imagery goes behind the scenes as Beckham visited Unicef programmes and met some of the children being supported by Unicef and his 7 Fund. Worth a watch this one.

David Beckham 'For the Love of the Game' will air 29 December at 9pm on BBC1.
