Rattling the cages while showcasing street-sided chaos, the adidas Tango League took to beautifully battered surroundings to land their latest pop-up takeover. LA the destination, it was another checkpoint with a ruthless finish.

The Tango League is no out of the box flat pack powerhouse. More of a underground party where teams battle it out for local ownership of their turf, the winner of each city-wide tournament goes into the hat to earn their place in the cage against other rival cities. Like a football fight club with once in a lifetime opportunities on the line, this is the small sided game with a big sided prize. In the case of LA, this fresh instalment was another chapter for a tournament that is served under moody lights, locked in surroundings and street styled fashion.

Keeping freestyle in the mix, Alex Mendoza was on hand to perform pitchside while the players set out to earn their stripes. Joining him too was Former NWSL player Shawna Gordon. Big beats and a strong atmosphere, this tournament went round for round on the search for those stand out squads.

Downtown LA the home for this one, it sees the winners from this match up travel to NYC where they will face off against the winner of the New York equivalent tournament. The ultimate prize from there is to travel to London during the week of the Champions League final. What's more, they'll also work with the brand on a series of global campaigns so it's a tournament of serious magnitude. Eyes turn to New York as the battle goes on. Watch this space.
