After months of flirting with the brand in training Sadio Mané has finally and officially signed for New Balance just in time for the 2018 Champions League Final in Kiev on Saturday night.

The Liverpool frontman has been wearing the brand in training for the past few months but more recently slipped into the new Furon 4.0 from the New Balance "Otruska Pack" launched for their players to wear at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Now though, it's a done deal and the brand can look forward to having a genuine top player on their books this summer, with the potential of a very rapid return.

If Mané were to notch the winner in New Balance boots and a New Balance kit, then that would establish the brand firmly in the history books of Liverpool FC. The kit would be held in the same regard as the famous shirts worn in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, and 2005. Looking further ahead, New Balance have another player in the spotlight when attentions turn to the international stage next month. A very strong signing indeed. Their strongest to date.
