With the launch of the new Arsenal 2019/20 home shirt this week, adidas launch the second episode in their ‘Fabric of Football’ series, taking a closer look at what it means to wear the red and white of the Gunners, and celebrating the progressive and inclusive mentality of the club.

Episode one of adidas’s ‘Fabric of Football’ series focused on the philosophy and winning mentality of Real Madrid and the way that has been ingrained into their new 2019/20 home shirt, and episode two follows suit, switching focus to North London. Titled ‘This is Home’, it celebrates the identity and unique values of Arsenal football club following the release of the 2019/20 home shirt, calling on the experiences and insights of club legends, current and future stars of the men’s and women’s team, and, of course, the fans, who give the club its heart.

Club legend Ian Wright speaks as only Wrighty can about the the club and its influence on him growing up in London. As well as Wright, Mesut Özil, Alex Iwobi, Mattéo Guendouzi, Vivianne Miedema, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Leah Williamson, Jordan Nobbs and Per Mertesacker, all reflect on their own journeys with the club so far, linking it to the release of the new home shirt and what it means to wear the famous red and white of the Gunners.
