If you didn’t know already, Sunday 8 March is International Women’s Day, and in support of all women and girls in sport, PUMA have launched an initiative that will see the German brand donating thousands of euros to Women Win, an organisation delivering girls’ sport programs across the globe.

PUMA’s ultraviolet laces make a bold visual statement and come with the message “Forever Tied Together”. Beginning 1 March, the laces will be given away with every footwear purchase at select retail locations globally, and for every pair of laces produced, PUMA will make a donation of 1 euro to Women Win – the global leader in girls’ and women’s empowerment through sport.

But further to that, PUMA have also stated that they will donate one euro per minute played and one thousand euros per goal or point scored by any of their ambassadors wearing the purple laces. The social media campaign and the donations made based on PUMA’s athletes’ performances will contribute up to 25,000 euros to the total contribution to Women Win of up to 100,000 euros.

Founded in 2007, Women Win has given millions of girls and women across the world the opportunity to play sports and build leadership skills. The organisation currently supports initiatives in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East as well as North, South and Central America.
