The hype for FIFA 22 continues to grow as we edge ever-nearer to its launch date, and next up it’s the turn of MLS to get excited, as the top 10 rated players from the league have been revealed.

The FIFA 22 ratings are out, and with them comes the bragging rights for both players and clubs who rank highest overall. For a second year in a row, LAFC’s Carlos Vela is top of the pile, that despite the fact that he missed much of last season through injury. He has maintained his overall score of 83, a marker he shared with Inter Miami’s Blaise Matuidi, who this year has slipped to seventh on the list with an overall ranking of 79.

Vela, who has five goals and five assists in 17 appearances this season, is followed by Orlando City SC winger Nani, who has an 81 overall rating. Orlando one of several teams including Inter Miami and LA Galaxy, who released special videos announcing and celebrating their stars’ rankings. Miami boast both Matuidi and third placed Gonazalo Higuain who, like Nani also boasts an 81 overall rating, but he’s third because of other stats such as pace, physicality and dribbling that differentiate players and break up ties.

FIFA 22 will be available worldwide on all platforms from 1 October 2021.
