Nike drop new 2014/15 AS Monaco away kit, inspired by the shades of ocean that surround the famous principality.
Looking to give tradition a new modern twist, Nike have revealed a new AS Monaco away kit that celebrates the nautical influence in the principality. The new away shirt is now in two tones of blue to reflect the different shades of the ocean the principality overlooks, with the body of the shirt bright electric blue and the sleeves a darker navy. The shirt’s v-neck collar is also navy with a thick band at the back and a thinner trim at the front. The red from AS Monaco’s home shirt is represented in a red band on each sleeve and a red section inside the back of the neck.
The shirt also boasts a modern, redesigned new club crest to symbolize the exciting new era in AS Monaco’s history. While the new crest retains the red and white stripes from the Monaco flag and is topped with a crown to represent their proud status as a constitutional monarchy, the emblem now has a sharper new design with a vibrant and brighter gold border. The club’s initials of ASM FC have been replaced with AS Monaco FC to boldly state their identity.
