Liverpool become the first Premier League club to show their colours for the 2017/18 season as New Balance unveil a landmark home shirt for the Reds. Paying homage to the club's 125th anniversary the new kit features a new commemorative crest and 80s influences throughout.

It's all about that oversized v-neck collar for us, a strong feature of decades past that makes a welcome return to Anfield. Another bespoke backtrack sees Liverpool revisit the darker 'Shankly red', complete with incorporated tonal pinstripes which acknowledge the Liverpool teams of the early 1980s.

Some description

The liver bird emblem is flanked with embroidered '1892' and '2017' to acknowledge the 125th anniversary, with the shirt itself based on the famous 'Rome' 1984 home shirt that saw success at Anfield and in Europe. Finishing details see a tribute to the Hillsborough tragedy as the 96 emblem is encased by the eternal flames at the neck. A unique design, full of thought and history. What more do you want?
