AS Roma join the 2017/18 kit party by unveiling their Nike home shirt for the next campaign. It's a simplistic design for the Italians as they prepare to embark on a Totti-less season for the first time since 1992.
It's difficult to get too excited about it, but it does tick all the boxes when it comes to classic styling. Shades of red and yellow merge for a traditional taste of Roman identity. As with all Nike jerseys for the 2017/18 season, the Roma shirt features engineered knit zones on the torso, creating a subtle geometric pattern, with enhanced fit for the athlete in motion. Meaning when the player moves, you'll see flashes of yellow on the jersey.
Swoosh on the right side, crest on the left. We're struggling to bulk this one out to be honest. It is what it is, a smart Roma shirt. Ah yeah, the inside of the jersey features the words “We are Roma” – that's probably worth mentioning. Red shorts, black socks with yellow detailing. Done. Alright, innit?
