After months of speculation, Juventus have launched their adidas x Palace Skateboards collaboration. Catching the footballing world off guard the club switched into their new special edition collection in Wednesday's night fixture against Genoa.

The club have managed to keep the collaborative fourth kit under wraps until the very last minute before kick off when the players took off their jackets to reveal the landmark collab for the team photo. Rumours began circulating that a reveal was imminent when Cristiano Ronaldo and co turned up to the stadium wearing a brand new all-white tracksuit, dual-branded with the Palace and adidas logos, and that reveal was confirmed when the players warmed up in a new training wear range.

The London skate label have linked up with the Three Stripes to embellish the predominantly white training apparel with neon green splashes and statement logo placements on the back. The tracksuits take on a throwback feel, a look we tipped to be a new trend for 2020. The home kit has been modified with those neon hits on the Juventus crests, sleeves, names & numbers and adidas x Palace logo, while a distorted graphic interrupts the stripes on the jersey and socks.

The full collection will include a black colourway of the training apparel as well as co-branded scarves, hats and lifestyle pieces in the coming days (stay tuned for official drop date). The Palace x adidas link up is a significant step for the Three Stripes in terms of transitioning the brand into lifestyle circles while competing with the success Nike have had with the Jordan x PSG collab. Are we looking at a new era of football replica?

Palace and adidas are long-time collaborative partners having linked up for football styled collections in the past, as well as a successful Wimbledon tennis collection last summer, but now they've become the first skateboard brand to stake their claim in the world of professional football.

By designing and co-branding an official jersey, PALACE have created a collection of apparel that pays tribute to some classic Juventus releases, combining retro sportswear silhouettes from the adidas archive with motifs and colours synonymous with the Turin club.
