Inspired by the legendary Westfalenhallen station – the gateway that leads to the heart of Dortmund – PUMA have launched the Borussia Dortmund 20/21 home shirt. The specially crafted black graphic print pays homage to elements of the architecture from the station itself.

PUMA has today unveiled Borussia Dortmund’s home kit for the 20/21 season, and it’s probably going to divide opinion, with a wild, eye-catching take on the traditional yellow and black. Certainly original, this one. The design takes reference from the Westfalenhallen underground station – a landmark starting point for fans as they embark on their journey to the Signal Iduna Stadium on a match day.

The station is a key part of fan culture, and the illuminated compass found on the floor of the station has been reworked to create the eye-catching and dynamic silhouette that wraps around the jersey. Don’t know about a compass – those black strikes across the yellow base give off a tiger vibe that Hull would be proud of.

Along with that new graphic take, the shirt boasts the first appearance of the club’s new shirt sponsor, although for us, that “1&1” logo sits a little jarringly on the front of the shirt.
