Continuing to branch out from their exploits on the pitch, Austin FC have unveiled a new apparel collaboration with iconic Austin motorcycle shop Revival Cycles, connecting the soccer and motorcycle communities in their shared city.
Right, firstly, see what we did with the whole ‘branch out’ bit? Y’know, coz of the club crest n’ all? [Sigh]. OK, moving swiftly on from that striking insight into the intellectual apex of our day, and what we’ve got here is yet another example of MLS outfit, Austin FC’s willingness to embrace cultural input from across the city, uniting a broad and shared community under the Verde banner. And in this respect, the Texan club are ahead of the rest by some margin.
Following on from collaborative collections with the likes of Skate shop No-Comply and Austin-based brand Howler Bros., the limited-edition Austin FC x Revival collaboration features a jacket, jumpsuit, t-shirt, and crop top sweatshirt, as well as wallets, and other accessories.
“Revival is a uniquely Austin brand and a cornerstone of the motorcycle community in Austin,” said Austin FC President Andy Loughnane. “Collaborations which authentically showcase different sub-communities within Austin are an integral part of Austin FC’s commitment to serve as a catalyst for the people, organizations, and communities that make Austin great.”
Founded in 2008, Revival Cycles has become a fixture of the motorcycle community in Austin and beyond. Each of its bikes is custom built with a focus not only on mechanics and engineering, but also with an emphasis on design and art.
