Off the back of the Magista's successful year on-pitch Nike have enrolled their groundbreaking Flyknit technology into the small-sided game with the launch of the new FootballX collection.

Nike have targeted the rapid rise of the the small-sided game by offering a top-tier series of footwear equipped for the streets, turf, cages and everywhere inbetween. The days of having to opt for a take-down model off-pitch have gone, but what entirely is off-pitch? A pitch can be anywhere, a street, a car park or wasteland, football isn't just played on grass with eleven players a side and Nike's FootballX collection, first revealed at their 2015 Innovation Showcase, acknowledges that with their most innovative footwear technologies.

Some description

The MagistaX features Nikeskin and a leather upper, while also utilising recycled "Nike Grind" rubber on high abrasion areas of the shoe for enhanced durability. A responsive Lunarlon midsole completes the design for cushioning against hard surfaces. Dropping with a choice of soles the MagistaX comes in turf (TF) editions, featured here, and indoor (IC) edition both of which debut in the "Street" colourway with black reflective geometric graphics, inspired by the players Nike’s design team met with who play at night by streetlight. But what does the "X" stand for? It represents the combined number of players in a 5-a-side game. Makes sense.
