The Magista 2 arrives fashionably late for the Nike "Pitch Dark" party to complete the full collection of stealth soaked silos. Darkened down to sit alongside the Mercurial, Hypervenom and Tiempo, the Magista features a subtle swooshing of orange to offer a slick alternative to Nike's latest innovation update.
The full 'Pitch Dark' collection dropped last month, before the second-generation Magista was unveiled and featured stunning renditions of Nike's elite level football boots disguised in blankets of black, with only the Swoosh called out in different pops of colour. Nike, of course appreciate that players who prefer a traditional look are still keen to benefit from all the latest technology advancements, so the 'Pitch Dark' pack is for that group of low-key players. No nonsense, just a classic vibe with hidden features and a dark grey heat map design to keep things subtle.
The collection isn't expected to feature on the feet of Nike's pool of professional contracted players but that won't stop the Magista Obra 2 being a damn straight hit amongst players worldwide, the blackout collections always are. A heritage helping of the highest order. The final bulb blows to round off the Pitch Dark pack in style. Sometimes it's better with the lights off...
