The next-gen Copa 18.1 sits on the adidas Skystalker undercard as the undisputed champion of class. A k-leather king that lets the dynamic trio of the Nemeziz, X and Predator fight for the spotlight while taking the title of new-generation tradition.

Subtle updates from the previous 17.1 edition include a redesigned one-piece Primeknit tongue construction, and the elimination of stitching on the k-leather upper, which is replaced by an internal skeleton-cage. The "Tactile Gold Metallic" colourway that connects the full Skystalker Pack hands the COPA 18.1 a detailed debut, but it's a more classic "White/Black" approach that ensures the update is crowd-pleasing player. A scattered black & white patterned finish on the heel and tongue provides the alternative aesthetic.

Five years ago a traditional boot option meant you'd have to sacrifice weight for a bit of leather and a stiff soleplate, but that ain't the case no more. The COPA 17.1 has seen an increase in professional players adopting the silo, most recently Manchester City's Vincent Kompany, as adidas have created a lightweight-leather-comfort option that feels more heritage but performs at the highest of adidas' quality, with no hindrance. The COPA 18.1 will no doubt enhance that reputation further.
