The court king continues its comeback, as Nike release two new colourways for the Lunar Gato II, with the “Sail/Hyper Crimson/Orange Pulse/Mahogany” and “Black/Wolf Grey/Light Current Blue/Volt” doubling the existing options for the rereleased small-sided specialist.

After a brief hiatus, the Lunar Gato II returned to the scene earlier this year, but following that launch, things have been fairly quiet for the small-sided specialist, with only one other release, which dropped in April. But you know the old saying where you wait for a bus then two come along at once? Well, the Lunar Gato is a case in point, as Nike release two new looks for the street-smashing king of the cage.

For those unfamiliar with it, the Lunar Gato is Nike’s dedicated small-sided silo, created from scratch for the off-pitch environment. Whether it’s an indoor match, on a tight pitch, over the streets, wood or anything in between, the iconic LunarGato II offers that versatile mix of traction, support and stability that’s required for the challenges of smaller variations of the game.

The Lunar Gato features durable goat-leather at the forefoot for a smooth, natural feel and precision strikes, and Hyperfused mesh panels in the midfoot for structure and breathability. The reinforced vamp enhances the superb ball feel for ultimate touch plus extra durability, while Lunarlon cushioning and an articulated traction pattern create a springy, responsive ride for quick cuts. Built for purpose.

The first look, officially titled “Sail/Hyper Crimson/Orange Pulse/Mahogany” sees that hyper crimson and orange pulse dominating the rear quadrant of the shoe and the overall aesthetics, the translucent effect really catching the eye. The mahogany is then spread across the forefoot, although orange stitching on the quilting serves to break up any domination of that area.

For the second option, titled “Black/Wolf Grey/Light Current Blue/Volt”, a monochrome base of black and grey is accented by vibrant pops of colour, most noticeable in the rear foot Swoosh, which takes on a volt colour, through the light current blue laces and forefoot stitching, and then in the radical combination of both of those colours on the front section of the sole.

Two strong styles for the small-sided setup. Take your pick.
