Nike reserve a seasonal update for the Phantom twins as the VNM and VSN are refreshed with new wraps to drop into Autumn/Winter as the 'Phantom Fire' Pack. The Swoosh has given the Phantoms an exclusive colour-up collection rather than their usual four-silo packs.
If September was all about the Mercurial and the new "Dream Speed" series, then October is all about Nike's latest dynamic silos. The PhantomVNM arrives in a vibrant "Bright Mango/White" combination, while the PhantomVSN takes on a more low-key pairing of "Dark Grey" and "Bright Mango". The VNM adopts a go-to Nike colour palette than was a popular design on the T90 Laser IV series, so it feels only right that Nike have carried it onto their new-generation shooting silo.
As with the Mercurial "Dream Speed", the "Phantom Fire" pack won't be dished out to every Nike athlete. The Swoosh have carefully selected leading players who tasted glory during the 2018/19 season, meaning that the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne, Robert Lewandowski, Edinson Cavani and Marco Verratti will all switch into the pack when they step out for Champions League and domestic action this week. Although with a look so smart we wouldn't be suprised to see more players get involved in the updated collection, especially considering the New Lights Pack has been knocking around for a few months now.
