There’s been plenty of choice when it comes to the Predator 24 since its launch, but while most have come laden with nostalgia, adidas now release ‘Generation Pred’ – celebrating the next generation of Predator icons.

The Predator 24 has hit all the sweet spots when it comes to the collective thirst for all things nostalgic, from those iconic Accelerator-esque Three Stripes to the return of that fold-over tongue. There’s also been plenty of choice when it comes to colourways too, with the limited edition debut and PredStrike looks followed up by the ‘Solar Blast’ colourway and the full blackout and whiteout presentations. While the ‘Solar Blast’ colourway updated the classic black, white and red that’s so synonymous with the Predator, introducing some vibrancy to the red along with some bright yellow accents for the younger generation who may not have the same connection to the earlier Predator legacy, Adidas now take full aim at the next generation with a new colourway titled ‘Generation Pred’.

‘Generation Pred’ sees the laced and laceless options (you’ll find no fold-over tongue here) decked out in a bright “Team Solar Green/Team Shock Pink/Lucid Lemon” colourway, with the green as the base colour. A leopard-inspired graphic, in keeping with the animalistic nature of the Predator franchise, plays out across the upper, while the Three Stripe branding takes on the shock pink hue to standout in a striking effect. Sure, this isn’t the Predator of 25 years ago, but that’s kind of the point. This one is bound to stand out on any pitch, shining a light on the players who will be leading this new generation of Predator.

On the soleplate, where the ‘Solar Blast’ edition featured the word “Predator” across its entirety, this one just sees “Pred”, as a further nod to the next generation.

We’ve already seen the likes of Anthony Gordon and Maximilian Beier wearing the laceless and laced versions of this new look respectively, and you can expect to see plenty more players, including Alessia Russo, Evan Ferguson, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Lena Oberdorf making the switch in the coming weeks.
