Timo Werner took his place in Germany’s lineup for the heavyweight European clash against Holland, and he did so in the recently released limited edition adidas X 99.1, which combined the DNA of the adizero 99g boot from 2015 with the modern day X. Wasn’t enough to stop Germany slipping to a 4-2 loss though.

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of his professional career, PUMA allowed Antoine Griezmann to help design his own signature boot, the “Grizi 10-year edition”, and the Frenchman wore them in his nation’s 4-1 Euro qualifier against Albania.
Caroline Weir (Manchester City) PUMA ONE 5.1
The Women’s Super League returned with a bang this weekend with key fixtures being played out at Stamford Bridge and the Etihad. It was the Manchester Derby at the latter, and City’s Caroline Weir scored the winner in a specially customised pair of PUMA One 5.1 that featured the Manchester Bee.
Memphis Depay (Holland) Under Armour Magnetico SL
Under Armour supplied Memphis with a specially customised pair of exclusive Magnetico’s this week that came in the Orange of his national team. The Lyon man wore them in the win over Germany and has since been wearing them in training, suggesting that he’ll pull them on again for the game against Estonia tonight.
Aleksei Ionov (Russia) Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII Neymar
Neymar is just about back, but he was not the only player to be lacing up in his signature edition ‘Speed Freak’ Mercurial this week, with several pros spotted on international duty in them. Among that number was Russia’s Aleksei Ionov, who wore them as his side came back to beat Scotland 2-1.
Shintaro Nago (Kashima Antlers) Mizuno Morelia Neo II
Shintaro Nago scored the third goal in Kashima Antlers 3-2 quarter final first leg J. League Cup win, and it proved to be the all-important goal with the second leg ending 2-2. He struck his winner while wearing Mizuno’s latest release, the Mizuno Morelia Neo II “Samurai”, which launched as the first part of the Japanese brand’s inventively named “Samurai vs Ninja” pack.
Callum Robinson (Ireland) adidas Predator Accelerator 25Y ZZ
Ireland’s Callum Robinson trained in the gold Predator Accelerator ‘Zidane’ ahead of his side’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland this week. The boot was released as part of adidas’ celebration of 25 years of the Predator, dropping alongside a Beckham-inspired Precision earlier this year.
Jonathan Afolabi (Ireland) Nike T90 Laser IV
Sticking with Ireland, and Jonathan Afolabi, not to be out done by Robinson, turned out for training in the “Crimson/Black” T90 Laser IV from 2014, which arrived as part of the All Conditions Control revolution from Nike.
James McClean (Ireland) Nike Tech Craft Mercurial Vapor XIII
Completing a hat-trick of sorts from the Ireland training camp and James McClean was spotted in the new Tech Craft Mercurial Vapor, which, as is becoming something of a tradition now, sees Nike replacing the standard knit edition with a premium leather edition.

While the International fixtures were dominating, lower league action rumbled on, and Bradford City’s Clayton Donaldson caught our eye in 2004’s Mercurial Vapor II, as his side beat Northampton 2-1.
