Been over three months since Lionel Messi last had a signature pair of boots – high time he had a new pair, and it looks like that’s on the cards, with the Argentinian debuting a new pair of boots in Inter Miami’s preseason friendly with Newell’s Old Boys.

In what is the second bit of Messi-related footwear news for the day following the great man getting a custom pair of ‘What The Messi’ adidas Sambas recently, the Inter Miami striker has donned a pair of as-yet unreleased adidas X Crazyfast for his emotional encounter with his childhood club, Newell’s Old Boys. The match was Inter Miami’s final preseason game ahead of the 2024 MLS season kick off, and it ended 1-1, with Messi playing 60 minutes in front of 18,971 fans at DRV PNK Stadium.

While the majority of fans in attendance were present to see Messi in action, they also got a first official look at his latest signature adidas X Crazyfast boots, which must be dropping any day. The boots see a combination of tonal blues across the upper, with the base being dark blue, while the Three Stripe branding takes on a sky blue in an obvious nod to Argentina. White then wraps around the lower boot and soleplate, while golden accents complete the look, likely nodding to Messi’s numerous achievements in the game.
