All adidas attention has rightly been on the new Predator 24 recently, but there’s two other boots in the Three Stripes roster to not forget about, and one of those now comes into focus, with RB Leipzig’s Xaver Schlager training in a whiteout prototype of the next generation of COPA.

The Predator 24 is the adidas boot of the moment, but there’s exciting times ahead for the rest of the Three Stripes lineup. Firstly, none other than Lionel Messi has been spotted in a mystery whiteout boot recently, suggesting a big switch in the future of the X franchise, while we’ve now got a first look at the next generation of the COPA line, courtesy of RB Leipzig’s defensive midfielder, Xaver Schlager.

The Austrian international wore a whiteout version of the new look COPA in a recent training session, revealing a new look that’s set to take the baton from the current incarnation, the COPA Pure II. It sees a completely reworked upper that looks to be presented in two parts, with a leather forefoot and woven fabric construction in the rear heel area. It’s a look that’s somewhat reminiscent of the style of the COPA 17, which was the first modern recreation of the iconic Copa Mundial.

Expect this one to arrive later this year, with the likes of Declan Rice, Alexis Mac Allister and Bernado Silva set to make the switch when it’s released.
