Pre-season is often the time for players to test-drive different brands as they look to settle on their footwear for the new campaign. For brands it's a time to fish for new signings, and Warrior look in discussions with Samir Nasri to bolster their player line-up.

Nasri, who's worn adidas for the last eight seasons, was trialing a white-out pair of Warrior Superheat boots in City's friendlies against Hearts & Olympiacos. Warrior already have a foot in the door at the Etihad Stadium with Vincent Kompany and new signing Fernando wearing the Skreamer silo and Alvaro Negredo was also spotted wearing the Superheat last month.

Some description
Negredo wore the Warrior Superheat against Hearts on July 18.

It's attacking players that Warrior lack with just Hull City's Tom Ince their key Superheat player, so the capture of Samir Nasri would be a real coup for the American brand. Elsewhere in the blue half of Manchester Joe Hart is also using pre-season to explore new avenues as he left his Umbro UX1 boots in the changing rooms in favour of the Nike Magista.
