We travel to the spectacle that is the Toolstation NECL Division One for this fixture between Glasshoughton Welfare AFC and Eccleshill United with both teams hunting for that illusive FA Cup qualification position. 10th spot'll do it and with both teams in and around the prized position, this 6 pointer could see one side leap away from the other.
As you head down the leagues, the very real, very humble and very heroic scenes of volunteers and dedicated fans is evident. No massive turnout, though locals look on with full support. It's here where unfortunately the home side started to scupper as it wasn't looking like their day. Missing a penalty, losing a man thanks to a second bookable offence and some typically gut wrenching sitters missed - the turn of the tide saw the away side pick up the points. Eventually running out as 3-1 winners, it's one to forget on paper, despite the hard fought determined efforts from the home side, though in picture form, it's bloody beautiful.
Scoreline's aside, where the crust is concerned the catering shall reign supreme. Heading to Yorkshire and looking for a solid pie, you can be assured that those heroes that parade their produce pitchside will offer something to wet the appetite. A perfect serving with plenty to savour, 78 fans and a pie for a single pound - this is how it should be.
