A fortress for which 59,186 fans can embrace, the new home of Olympique Lyonnais is a jewel in the crown that lives on as a piece of legacy from EURO 2016. A megastructure of unique measure, it is bold, beautiful and a wholly new structure that scrapes the sky with style.

From the outside, the geometric design of this stadium is what captures the eyes as well as the imagination. Though standing as a wider sports complex, it's a home for elite excellence that will become a regular calling spot for the very top of the international scene as well as on a club level. Already earmarked as a venue for the 2019 Women's World Cup, where EURO 2016 left off, another tournament lies in wait. Having hosted its debut game on the 2nd October, the stadium is in its infancy but the large character tells of an experienced head with striking features. Corridors of glass are meet with high ceilings while the spacious feel and thought out structure means there's not a single bad seat in the house.

Now very much a home of Olympique Lyonnais, this is also no mere pop up stage for the international scene and major tournaments. Dressed in red, white and blue and respectively branded up, it's one almighty place to call home. With the foundations there for Lyon to flourish, they've got the home, the fans and the squad to punch forward with a positive trajectory. A stadium that should definitely be considered a calling point for those who enjoy a fresh stadium to take in, it may not have that lasting character of an aged ground but it's certainly a play pen for the contemporary.
