adidas Originals and high-fashion power Alexander Wang drop their third collaboration with soccer-inspired influences throughout. The flip turned trefoil logo returns on a fresh collection of twisted sportswear pieces all put through the Alexander Wang lens.
The adidas Originals x Alexander Wang collab creates one of the most intriguingly unique collections to merge the worlds of fashion and football. Subtle acknowledgements to throwback football feature amidst the third release for a retro trend on a collection that oozes premium class. Sweatshirts and tracksuits are joined by printed windbreakers and signature team jacquard jersey tops and a new run of footwear options as Alexander Wang flips the trefoil both metaphorically and literally.
Set for an April 1 release the third drop of the partnership embraces skate, football and basketball scenes to complete a diverse footwear collection that uses Boost and Primeknit technology on the hi-collared AW BBall shoes and ACE 16+ silhouettes and ultra-soft suede on the AW Skate shoes. Football is becoming less and less of a surprise inclusion in fashion circles and a nod from Alexander Wang will do no harm to damaging its retro reputation.
