HANON and Umbro join forces for a special edition collection inspired by a legendary football shirt from the Scotland archives. The collection is headlined by a recreation of the never-released shirt famously worn by the Scotland squad on the cover for their Italia ‘90 team song. A second grayscale edition has also been created as a tribute to HANON’s hometown of Aberdeen.

Delving into the archives, HANON and Umbro have come together for a unique project, producing a special edition replica of a legendary Scotland football shirt. The shirt in question was originally introduced as a leisure jersey in the late 80s by Umbro and the Scottish FA, although it was never released as an official kit, but was famously worn by the squad on the cover for the team song leading up to Italia ’90. The shirt was launched in two vibrant colourways and due to its scarcity and distinctive pattern, took on a cult status.

For this special edition release, HANON have worked alongside Umbro to recreate the jersey in its true, vintage OG fit. Executed in the same abstract pattern and striking colourway, the top features a drop arm sleeve and includes a ribbed collar and internal placket with a snap button closure. As a final sign-off the number 90 has been applied to the back of the shirt, and in keeping with the spirit of releasing two colourways, a second grayscale edition has also been created as a tribute to HANON’s hometown of Aberdeen.

Each shirt will be released as a strict limited edition and will. Be launching exclusively at HANON via online raffles, which end on Thursday 12 November.
