A tribute to the Aberdeeen team of 1983 that won the European Cup under the reign of Sir Alex Ferguson, Hanon and Diadora have collaborated to release a special edition B.Elite shoe. It's glorious.
Announced as 'The Spirit of '83', it's a mighty triumphant way to mark a celebration of footballing history that shall never be forgotten by the Aberdeen faithful. Having brushed aside Bayern Munich on route to Gothenburg for the final, it's a team that beat Real Madrid to take the title back to Scotland. One hell of an achievement.
Proud Italian heritage, the Diadora B.Elite, is a classic silhouette which as been hand crafted at Diadora’s original factory in the small town of Caerano Di San Marco, the shoe features a premium upper of butter soft suede and kangaroo leather. Crafted perfection the colours represent those worn on the night of the final.
Hanon write, "Working closely with the original Italian factory allowed us to utilize the same premium material treatments as Diadora once applied to their legendary court shoes and football boots during the ’80’s. We have spec’d the shoe up as much possible and included a laminated kangaroo leather tongue with a plush backer, as well as a double layered stitched leather insole. Dual branding features throughout – embossed and printed on each back- tab and tongue, whilst our Keeps On Burning fire emblem and 83 are detailed on opposing heels."
Super limited edition, the Spirit of 83 shoe is available through Hanon - each pair comes in a special edition box and will be released from 10th October. Sublime off the pitch smash up.
