Arriving as a natural continuation of the club’s ‘No More Red’ campaign, Arsenal and adidas have revealed a new ‘No More Red’ T-Shirt, which was designed by Nellie-Rose, a young person from Arsenal in the Community as part of a four-day fashion workshop series.

Arsenal’s ‘No More Red’ campaign has been an eye-catching display of the club and community’s stance against knife crime over the last couple of years, with the color red being removed from the Gunners’ kits for one-off occasions. Those special edition whiteout kits have never been for sale, nor will they ever be, however, the club have gone about remedying the situation and fans’ ability to support the campaign through a new, dynamic collaboration in partnership with adidas. It saw 30 young individuals from various No More Red charity partners recently engaged in a transformative four-part fashion workshop series, and the final result is a new ‘No More Red’ T-Shirt, which will go on sale for £30, with 100 percent of the retail price to be distributed equally among our No More Red partners.

Nellie-Rose, the youngster whose design was chosen for the tee, was one of 30 young individuals from Arsenal’s No More Red charity partners who took part in the workshop series, with sessions run by the club, adidas, and local social enterprise Fashion-Enter, a local leader in ethical garment production.

The workshop series kicked off with sessions hosted by adidas at their flagship store, where attendees from Arsenal in the Community, Octopus Community Network, Copenhagen Youth Project, and Steel Warriors delved into the art of football jersey styling. That was followed by a discussion on product lifecycle and T-shirt design under the guidance of Senior Category Manager, Callum Burman, followed by an inspiring celebrity styling session led by renowned stylist and Elle Magazine contributor, Georgia Medley, at The Arsenal Hub.

As part of the series, attendees had the opportunity to then showcase their creativity in a T-shirt design competition. Nellie-Rose’s design was chosen as the winner based on its celebration of Arsenal as a place of diversity and togetherness, and for representing the club’s role as a home for the local community – a message reinforced by No More Red’s commitment to provide safe places for young people to play football.

Speaking about the community t-shirt, Nellie-Rose said: It has been so exciting to be involved in this project. Community is everything and it is what No More Red is all about, so it was important this was brought to life in my design. I feel proud that my creation was chosen to represent the campaign and provide the community with another way to support and feel connected to the initiative.
