Transforming on-pitch style into off-pitch fashion has a track record of disasters but Nike's Free Hypervenom Mid breaks that mould. We take an exclusive closer look at the limited edition sneakers.

Inspired by the silhouette of the football boot, the Nike Free Hypervenom Mid introduces a low profile Free 3.0 sole with a re-engineered seamless NIKESKIN upper. The shoe is also equipped with a perforated padded collar, tonal laces and a hint of reflective elements at the lace loop and back heel. The Free Hypervenom isn't the first shoe to be inspired by Nike's on pitch line-up as Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM landed in June but the latest colourway takes on another simplistic design to follow the "Triple White" launch drop.

The Nike Free Hypervenom Mid is available at selected retailers in limited quantities priced at around £120.
