Set to arrive as the headline footwear piece from the latest PSG x Jordan drop, the Air Jordan 7 is the next in the iconic sneaker series to get the full Parisian makeover. With an imminent drop date, we take a closer look at what’s sure to be one of the most sought after sneakers for this SS21 season.

The latest PSG x Jordan kit for the 21/22 season has seen the Swoosh step aside  with the Jumpman promoted to home shirt in what was an unprecedented move. What it also did was allow the collaboration to play with the traditional colours of the Ligue 1 side for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint, with the on-pitch kit joined by a full lifestyle collection, as has come to be expected these days. And chief among this extended collection is the Air Jordan 7, which becomes the latest in the line to get decked out in Parisian stylings, following the the Air Jordan 1 Retro High, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 6.

The Air Jordan 7 is set to expand the imaginative design of Tinker Hatfield by swapping the mid-foot and ankle panels for transparent mesh windows. Not only does it improve breathability and offer a unique detail never seen in the AJ7, but it actually touches on Hatfield’s intent to reduce weight to the footwear (seen in models like the Air Flight Huarache, a close relative of the AJ7). Revealed through these panels are the “ICI C’EST PARIS” callout that’s become so synonymous with the club. It also appears on the jazzy insole, which combines the white, red and blues that the mesh panels reveal on the inside of the white leather exterior. On the heel, replacing the “23” placement on standard AJ7s, is a fleur-de-lis as well as a visage of the Eiffel Tower.
