Leveraging one of its star names to reintroduce a classic silhouette for 2023, PUMA call upon Jack Grealish to face the “Forever. Palermo. Campaign”, which sees the sneaker landing back on shelves in a range of new colourways.

From the ’80s stadiums to today’s streets, a football classic returns to the footballing setup with PUMA relaunching the Palermo sneaker, ably assisted by none other than Manchester City and England playmaker, Jack Grealish. The Palermo was originally part of a series of PUMA sneakers that raised a glass to some of Europe’s most famous capitals, including London, Oslo, and more. Now, the Palermo is treated to a suite of new colourways.

The Palermo is an icon in its own right, but even icons need an assist here and there, and that’s why PUMA called upon Grealish to promote the sneakers return. Embracing the effortless Italian style philosophy while bringing together past and present football DNA, the campaign features the midfielder putting his own spin on the Palermo, showcasing the timeless low top, which features a characteristic tag on the upper, a T-toe construction, and the classic gum outsole.

Grealish pairs the Palermo with a series of looks featuring classic light-washed denim and an oversized topcoat, in addition to a pitch-inspired look including a PUMA tricot and burgundy corduroy trousers.

The return of the Palermo represents the first time that Grealish has been utilised by PUMA as the face of a campaign, displaying the high regard in which he’s clearly held. Could we be set to see a signature edition Future in the near… um… future?
