In what could be a ground-breaking deal, Jack Grealish looks to be on the verge of signing a seven-figure endorsement contract with Italian fashion giants Gucci.

Jack Grealish really is living his best life. Having become the most expensive British footballer of all time last year when he joined Manchester City from Aston Villa for £100 million, he now looks set to become an official ambassador of luxury Italian company, Gucci. It would be an unprecedented move for a sportsperson, and a move that could be set to scoop the Manchester City playmaker a seven-figure sum. The reports come from David Ornstein at The Athletic, a reliable source, so this one looks to be genuine.

Grealish’s profile has certainly been on the rise since his record-breaking move last summer and his appearances for England at the European Championships as the nation reached the final, and his chiseled chops, flowing locks and ridiculous calfs certainly won’t have hurt the growth of his appeal. He also has a fondness for fashion, having regularly been spotted in high-end brands including Gucci, but this potential move will see the 26-year old following in the footsteps of David Beckham to become more of a global icon, and one that could outgrow his position on the pitch. Could this also be the start of a big trend for the current generation of players?
