Having launched the updated version of the hybrid Medusæ boot last week, Umbro have followed up with a playful film that sees the brand's football frontman, Pepe, cut out the jargon and simplify all that's strong about the reworked silhouette.

This is a boot that takes legacy touches and marries them with clinically contemporary performance tech. It's got leather strength though it's lightweight and looks to pack pace on the pitch. Once again straying away from convention with this release, the brand are proudly taking on the game with their own bespoke approach. Telling it like it is and having fun while they're at it, this video pokes fun at the all too serious side of football. Doing away with the over detailed jargon it sees Pepe hit up Umbro HQ as he got his hands on his new boots.

For Umbro, it's about showing players in an approachable way, not as invincible super humans. With tongue in cheek it carries on where the brand left off with previous videos that have featured Michail Antonio and Pepe previously and in a considered fashion it looks to show players as they really are: funny, human and focussed on football.
