Has Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappé given a cheeky preview of an upcoming limited edition Mercurial design on his Instagram story this afternoon? Yep, that is remake of the 1998 R9 wrapped around the Mercurial Superfly 360, and yep, we know you want it.

The iconic design has been reimagined on a number of Mercurial designs, and now the famous aesthetic that was worn by Ronaldo at the 1998 World Cup in France could be set to drop in restricted numbers on the most modern of Mercurial silhouettes. Although the box could signal a one off NikeiD design, we'd take a guess at something more official considering the 20th anniversary of the original.

Whether he was supposed to or not, Mbappé has given his followers a sneak peek at the design that he'll assumably wear at some point in the coming weeks if and once it launches. Mbappé has been wearing Nike's Mercurial collab with Off White in recent weeks, perhaps in the absence of Neymar, but we wouldn't bet against both Mbappé and Neymar getting their hands on these to celebrate the 20th anniversary since R9 wore them.
