Nike revisit one of the most disruptive limited edition boot series for their latest offering of remixed Mercurial moves. This here is the 2018 Mercurial Superfly 360 Green Speed and you've already scrolled to the bottom of this page to buy a pair, haven't you?

Yep, these are the little rascals that Kylian Mbappe was teasing on his Instagram stories earlier this week and they've just dropped in limited numbers – 2018 pairs globally to be precise. A special edition modernisation of the 2012 original, complete with Dynamic Fit Collar and exquisitely executed in that OG "Volt/Black" colourway.

Originally launched in 2012, the Greenspeed (GS) was Nike’s lightest boot at the time, weighing in at a mere 160g. Made entirely from renewable and recycled materials, it was a revolution in the boot making game and an example of Nike showing what they were capable of. The same concept remains on the 2018 edition– the boots and their packaging are made from 100% recycled materials and each pair is individually numbered on the heel.

Back in 2012 the Nike GS was worn by Neymar at the 2012 Olympic Games and later that year the Swoosh dropped a "White/Black" edition that was worn by an assembled GS squad made up of, Raheem Sterling, Theo Walcott, Christian Eriksen, Mario Gotze, Stephan El Shaarawy and Eden Hazard. This time around though, they'll be headlined by PSG forward Mbappe who is set to wear them in a number of fixtures.

Nike have also dropped a limited run of two alternative colours (below) which will be made available through NikeiD on Nov 26 – the black and white design being a refreshed version of the second GSII from 2012, but it's all about the original colourway for us, that's where the hype hits hardest.
