Heading to Brixton for the second Borough Clash of the Nike London tournament, the event gave another group of aspiring young players the chance to run out in the latest Nike gear whilst warm up for the finale of the tournament in Peckham on 2nd of August.

Hitting several segments of London, the Nike Phantom London Borough Clashes empowers players in their communities. It's not simply about showcasing the small sided to seven sided game, it's about the people who make the party just as much as those performance essentials. While the nature of the game under the inner city lights may be free flowing, all out attack, the people involved represent where they are from. A number of them coach fellow young people, while others mentor through football. The tournament gives them the chance to win a deal with Nike as well as rewards for people in the borough they're playing for.

The Brixton scene is one that comes backed with big respect for football. So many elite players have made their names on the concrete courts or turfed pitches that are surrounded by high-rise flats and the inner city buzz. It's also where our future for the game is living and breathing - bringing fresh style to proceedings too. This tournament looks to go to the heart of that with Nike having selected a handful of players who they believe have "Phantom" qualities.

You can see what went down when these players first met at NikeTown here. Stay close for more updates as this tournament develops.
