When Will Ferrell was announced as an owner of LAFC you'd have been forgiven for thinking he'd take a back seat in the boardroom, after all, he's busy man. Few would've imagined he'd be at the front of the terrace leading the chants as LAFC set the record for the most points in an inaugural season...

The actor took his position in front of the 3252 supporters group to crank up the atmosphere during Los Angeles FC's 2-2 draw with Vancouver Whitecaps FC at the Banc of California Stadium yesterday. It was a game in which LAFC dropped two points from a leading position, but if they beat Sporting Kansas City in their final fixture of the season then they will be crowned Western Conference Champions.

LAFC are flying in their inaugural season by racking up 57 points with a game still to play. Playing in front of a full house every week, in a purpose built stadium for football in downtown LA, there's a lot to be buzzing with right now and Will Ferrell is loving every minute. Rather than enjoying the comfort of the directors' box he's down in amongst it, showing the rest of the city that the Banc of California is the place to be. Even the most loyal of 'British Football Culture' enthusiasts can't deny that looks like fun.
