Amazon Prime Video and Leeds United have unveiled a trailer for a new docu-series, titled ‘Take Us Home: Leeds United’. The series, which will launch in August, will give Prime members an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the club’s 2018/19 season as they pushed for promotion under head coach, Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds have been missing from the Premier League for 15 years now, and the club, working in conjunction with Amazon Prime, decided it would be a good idea in this era of football documentaries, to film the 18/19 campaign, their first under renowned manager Marcelo Bielsa, as the club pushed for promotion. Ah the power of foresight. The six-part series is narrated by Academy Award winner and Leeds fan Russell Crowe, and it covers the highs and lows of the season with exclusive footage of the players and staff behind the scenes, including moments such as the “spygate” scandal and the controversial uncontested goal in the April 2019 Aston Villa match.

Spoiler alert... Leeds lost at home to ten man Wigan after going 1-0 up, which in turn saw rivals Sheffield United promoted automatically, and then they lost to Derby in the play-offs. Still, there's sure to be plenty of interesting insights into the running of the club. Leeds are now the longest serving club in the Championship... perhaps they're already 'home'?
