As is seeming to be the trend this season, Leeds United have unveiled and then debuted their new home shirt for the coming 22/23 campaign, wearing it in their preseason game against Brisbane Roar.

Having ensured their Premier League survival last season, Leeds United will be looking to kick on in the coming campaign, under the watchful eye of the incredibly likeable Jesse Marsch. And they’ll be doing so in a fine new home shirt design from adidas, which sees a nice progression from last season, albeit with the yellow playing a more subtle supporting role, in an execution on the collar that’s not that unlike the new Spurs home shirt.

For us, the new Leeds United home shirt benefits greatly from one thing in particular that is the downfall of a lot of other shirts, and it is the simple fact that the sponsor ties in with the design of the shirt, becoming part of the look rather than sticking out like a sore thumb and ruining it. So credit has to go to SBOTOP, now in their third year as front of shirt sponsor with the Yorkshire club, for adopting the same navy colouring as the collar, cuffs and branding, as well as adopting that flick of yellow in the “S”. This type of thing should be mandatory in all shirt sponsorship deals for all clubs going forward. You want on the shirt? You play by our rules.
